1937: ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED and THE BRISTOL AEROPLANE COMPANY LIMITED, decide to combine theirairscrew experience in the formation of ROTOL AIRSCREWS LIMITED for the production of a British variable pitch airscrew.

1938: ROTOL variable pitch airscrews fitted to the Wellesley's — world's long distance record machines.

1939: Rotol Hydraulic Variable Pitch airscrews fitted to Britain's frontline Fighters and Bombers.

1940: Introduction Of Rotol electrically controlled variable pitch airscrew and the hydraulically controlled Four blade airscrew.

1941: There is a ROTOL VARIABLE PITCH AIRSCREWto suit the many requirements of all high-performance aircraft.
